Club History
A Legacy of Breaking Barriers
Circle City Rotary was founded in Corona, California on January 10, 1989 at a time when local rotary clubs did not allow female members. Recognizing the inequality of this policy, a group of forward-thinking citizens decided to charter their own rotary club, specifically to allow female members to join. At the time this was an unpopular, yet groundbreaking decision. Today, most rotary clubs allow women to become members.
Circle City Rotary has been paving the way and breaking barriers from the very beginning.
